Ky-Mani Marley, one of the best-known and wealthiest Reggae Singers was born on 26 February 1976 in Falmouth Jamaica. He was a part of the legendary film Shottas with another famous singer Wyclef Jean. Ky-Mani was signed to Shang Records for his 1996 debut album, Like Father Like Son album and songs like Judge Not (with Patra), Dear Dad", (which was the number one British reggae chart), Who The Cap (remix), Sensimelia and more all added to the growing recognition of the new reggae of his generation. Ky-Mani and Praswell, of the Fugees joined together in 1997 to record Avenue the cover version of Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley became the first artist to play at Midem in Miami the world's largest showcase of music. Marley did a live performance at the Cameo Theatre, which was broadcasted by Caribbean News Agency across 36 countries. Marley was part of a bidding dispute.
