Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, better known by her stage name of Ari Lennox, is an American artist and performer from Washington, D.C., who was the first woman to join J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. In October 21st, 2016 she dropped Pho, her debut EP on the Dreamville Records label. That was the day she first gained recognition. Her debut album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her music onto the internet in 2012 as she released her debut mixtape, Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography, in 2013. In 2014 she continued to share her music over the internet including her independently release single Bound. On July 21st, 2015. Omen featured her on Elephant Eyes' track Sweat It Out. J. Cole had her sing her songs for the Dreamville Team in the following year as he wanted Rihanna to work together on a few references. The news was released on December 8 that she was signed to Dreamville Records. The record Revenge of the Dreamers II which she was featured on, she sang the track Backseat with Cozz. In October of 2016, she released her first EP Pho. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as opening the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. She was joined by EarthGang.
